Mauritania Shell & Tuareg Talisman Necklace
A very large 55mm old Mauritanian trade bead conus shell with natural old branch coral & silver beads together with a brass & silver Tuareg talisman box pendant makes an impressive and interesting necklace. The shell has lovely smooth aged patina and used to be filled on the inside of the spiral with a paste of dates and spices. 5 string cotton cord and button clasp measures 20".
